Ingredients

  • Meatballs:
  • 1 dash garlic
  • 3 tbsp. butter
  • 2 lbs. hamburger
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. mace
  • 1/2 tsp. celery seed
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • Roll in balls and fry to brown.
  • Sauce:
  • 1 tbsp. margarine
  • 3/4 cup chopped onions 1 cup catsup
  • 1 Oxo cube, dissolved in
  • 1 cup boiling water 1/2 cup molasses 1/4 cup brown sugar 2/3 cup vinegar
  • 2 tsp. dry mustard 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp. cornstarch

Boil to thicken. Pour over meat balls and bake in slow oven for approximately 1 hour.
