BBQ Baked Beans

Ingredients

- 1 Large 28oz Can of Baked Beans (Bush's Homestyle)
- 1 Small 16oz Can of Baked Beans (Bush's Original)
- 1/2 lb Bacon
- 1 small sweet onion - finely chopped
- 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/4-1/2 cup Ketchup
- 1/4-1/2 Cup BBQ Sauce
- 2-3 TBS Yellow Mustard
- Salt & Pepper to Taste
- Dash (or 3) of Cayenne - OPTIONAL

Preparation
Step 1
Heat a saucepan over medium-high heat. Chop the bacon into about 1 inch (or so) pieces - I find that kitchen scissors work best for this. Brown the bacon until nice and crisp. Drain most of the bacon fat out, leaving about a TBS or two. Add the chopped onion and saute until soft.
Add the beans and remaining ingredients and stir until combined. Allow to heat in saucepan for 10 minutes (stirring frequently). Next, put the beans into a sprayed oven safe dish and allow to finish in oven at 350°. About 15 minutes or until you are ready.
If in a hurry, you can skip the oven and serve straight from the stovetop (just be sure it's nice and hot!).
Note: All of the measurements can be tweaked to taste. I just always use two different "flavors" for the two cans of the beans.
