- 1/2 lb. butter (2 sticks)
- 2 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
- dash salt
- 1 c. corn syrup
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Butter 9x13 pan. Melt butter in saucepan. Add sugar and salt. Stir thoroughly.Stir in corn syrup and mix well. Gradually add condensed milk. Stirring constantly.
Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture reaches 245-250 degrees on candy thermometer.
Immediately remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. Pour into pan. Cool 4-5 hours. Cut and wrap in wax paper.
