Ingredients
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup dry red wine
- 2 shallots, minced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 Tbsp chopped fresh marjoram leaves
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 2 tsp hot sauce
- 1 (1 3/4-lb) flank steak, London broil or Tri-tip steak
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper

Preheat grill to medium-high.
Combine first 7 ingredients (through hot sauce) in a large, zip-top plastic bag; add steak. Seal and chill 8 hours, turning bag occasionally.
Remove steak from marinade and discard marinade. Rub steak with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Grill, covered, 4 to 6 minutes on each side or to desired degree of doneness. Let stand 5 minutes.
Cut steak diagonally across the grain into thin strips
