Tandoori Chicken with Yogurt Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 cup plain low-fat yogurt
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp. ground turmeric
- 1 tsp. ginger
- kosher salt
- pepper
- 4 bone-in, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 Granny Smith apples
- 1 tsp. chopped fresh cilantro

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 475 degrees.
In a large bowl, mix 1/2 cup yogurt, garlic, turmeric, ginger, 2 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. pepper. Add the chicken and turn to coat.
Transfer the chicken to a rimmed baking sheet. Cook till and instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest past of the chicken registers 160 degrees, 25 to 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, peel the apple; coarsely grate the apple into a bowl. Add the cilantro and remaining 1/2 cup of the yogurt, salt and pepper. Toss. Serve with the chicken and rice.
