Green Chili Sauce – Salsa de Chile Verde 0 Picture

Ingredients

  • 1 small onion, cut up
  • 1 medium tomato, peeled and cut up
  • 4-ounce can green chili peppers, rinsed and seeded
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons snipped cilantro or parsley
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or cooking oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • A dash of pepper

Preparation

Step 1

In blender container combine tomato, chili peppers, onion, garlic, cilantro or parsley, oil, salt, and pepper.
Cover and blend till nearly smooth.
Pour into small saucepan; bring to boiling.
Reduce heat; cook and stir over medium heat about 5 minutes or till slightly thickened.
