Ingredients
- 1/2 cup of shortening
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
- 1/8 teaspoon almond extract
- 2 1/4 ups of flour
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 3/4 teaspoon baking powder

Step 1
Cream shortening and add sugar gradualy. Add beaen egg, milk and extract. Add dry ingredients. Chill dough 20 minutes then roll very thin on floured board. Cut into shapes and sprinkle with red or green sugar or nuts or 4 tablespoons of brown sugar and 3 tablespoons granulated sugar mixed. Bake 375 degrees about 6 minutes
