  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup Karo Syrup
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 unbaked pie crust

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Add 1/4 to 1/3 cup of Bourbon to chopped pecans. Set aside.

In a saucepan, melt the butter but do not let it brown. Mix in the sugar and corn syrup and cook, stirring, over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Gradually add the eggs, being careful not to cook/curdle the eggs (Temper). Mix well. Stir in the marinated pecans. Pour into the pie shell and bake for 1 hours or until firm when shaken.
