Ingredients
- 1 c sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 t vanilla
- 4 t flour, plain
- 1 1/2 c milk
- 3 T cocoa
- 1 1/2 t butter
- 1 baked pie crust

Preparation
Step 1
Mix dry ingredients in skillet. Beat egg yolks and add milk and eggs to dry mix. Cook on medium heat to low heat, stirring until it thickens. Add butter and vanilla. Pour into pie crust.
Top with meringue
Mix in GLASS or mixer bowl - no plastic. Use room temperature egg whites. (saved from above). Beat egg whites, add 1 T sugar per egg white. Add sugar little at a time, beating after each addition. Will form peaks, stiff.
Put on top of pie. Bake in oven 300 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
