Ingredients
- 1 1/2 C Lentils, Washed
- 1 quart water
- 2 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup chopped onions
- 2/3 cup chopped green peppers
- 1/3 cup margarine
- 1/2 cup chopped pimientos
- 1 (1lb 14 oz) can stewed tomatoes

Preparation
Step 1
Cook lentils in water and salt 30-40 minutes.
Saute vegetables and add to lentils.
Simmer slowly 30-40 minutes
Put a slice of cheddar cheese on top of soup
