Ingredients

• 2 or 3 lumps of coal
• 2 tablespoons water
• 2 tablespoons salt
• 2 tablespoons liquid bluing
• food coloring

Preparation

Step 1

Put the coal in a shallow bowl, mix water, salt and bluing together and pour over top.
The next morning, add 2 tablespoons more salt.
Third morning add salt, water and bluing and a drop or two of food coloring.
The crystals will grow.
