Ingredients
- 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 c sugar (can use granulated or 1/2 granulated and 1/2 powdered)
- 1-1/2 c Wondra flour
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 to 1 tsp ammonia bicarbonate

Tanya's recipe:
Beat butter for a long time. Add the sugar and beat until dissolved. Then add the vanilla. Then add the flour and ammonia bicarbonate. Mix.
Form into small balls with hands. Put balls on a greased cookie sheet. Flatten if desired, allow room for them to spread - about 8 on a cookie sheet.
Bake at 300 until a little golden around the edges - 8-10 minutes. Cool on the pan before moving to a cooling rack.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Lori uses 1/2 c shortening, 1/2 c butter, 1 c sugar, 1-1/2 c flour, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 tsp ammonia bicarb.
