Ingredients

  • 2-1/2 c milk - divided
  • 3/4 c brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp butter (if using eggs, if not use 3 Tbsp)
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs - optional
  • 1/4 c flour

Preparation

Step 1

Pour 2 cups milk into a large pan and start heating.

In a bowl, mix together dry ingredients.

In another bowl, mix 1/2 c milk and eggs, then add to dry ingredients. Mix, then add to pan, whisking constantly.

Heat until it boils.

Add butter and vanilla.

Pour into one large bowl or several smaller dessert cups.

Jami says it is delicious either warm or cold and especially with whipped cream.
