Ingredients
- 2 C flour
- 1/2 C butter, softened
- 1/2 C sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 C cold water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 x8g envelope active dry yeast
- 4 C flour, approximately

Preparation
Step 1
Put first 5 ingredients in large bowl. Beat slowly to moisten.
Sprinkle with salt, baking powder and yeast. Let stand for 1 minute. Beat well.
Work in enough remaining flour to make a stiff dough. Place in greased bowl, turning once to grease top. Cover with greased waxed paper and tea towel. Let stand on counter overnight,. In the morning punch down dough. Shape into buns, using greased palms if ncedssary. Arrange in greased pan. Let stand in oven with light on and door closed for 2 to 3 hours until doubled in size.
Bake in 375 oven for about 35 to 40 minutes until golden bown.
