Ingredients
- Bring to a boil:
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 cup oil
- 2 squares unsweetened choc.
- 1 cup water
- Mix with:
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teasp soda
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 teasp vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
- Mix by hand or slow mixer and pour in sheet pan. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes.

Preparation
Step 1
Icing: (Start making this about 15 mins before cake is done.)
1 stick butter
2 squares unsweetened choc.
6 Tblsp milk
pinch of salt
1 box powdered sugar
1 teasp vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Melt first 4 ingredients over fire. Remove from heat and add box of powdered sugar gradually. Add vanilla and cup of chopped pecans if desired. Pour on cake while cake is still hot. Let cool and cut.
