Ingredients
- Icing:
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 5 tbsp milk
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups powdered sugar

Preparation
Step 1
Mix flour & sugar
Bring to a boil:
margarine, shortening, cocoa, water
Pour hot mixture over flour & sugar. Mix until blended.
Add:
buttermilk, baking soda, eggs, vanilla
Beat until well mixed. Will be bubbly. Use sheet cake pan – grease lightly.
Icing:
Bring to boil margarine, milk, cocoa, vanilla
Remove from heat – add 2 cups powdered sugar (will be runny; use more if you want it thicker)
Pour over warm cake.
