Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 3/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cups peeled diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 1/2 cups uncooked, cleaned small fresh shrimp
  • 1 cup chopped, cooked chicken

Preparation

Step 1

Saute green pepper and onion in oil in a large skillet until vegetables are tender.

Stir in tomatoes, salt, garlic powder, chili powder, red pepper, and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer, uncovered, 20 to 30 minutes or until mixture thickens.

Stir in shrimp and chicken (mixture will thin when shrimp is added). Return to a boil; reduce heat, and cook 1 to 2 minutes or until shrimp turn pink.
