Ingredients

  • 1 can (17 oz) yams, plain, drained
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • marshmallows
  • 1 pound sweet potatoes washed, but not peeled. Heat enough water to cover potatoes to boiling; add potatoes
  • and 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of salt per cup of water. Cover and heat to boiling. Cook until tender; 30 minutes or so. Drain and peel; Cut into large pieces

1. Grease a casserole dish; add all ingredients
2. Bake uncovered at 350 for 30 minutes
3. Top with marshmallows
4. Bake until marshmallows are puffed and golden brown
