  • 2 oz German sweet chocolate
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans
  • Whipped cream, optional

Preparation

Step 1

Melt together German sweet chocolate and butter, allow to cool. In mixing bowl, beat 3 eggs until foamy. Gradually add granulated and brown sugar. Beat on high speed for 2 minutes, then at low speed. Add flour and vanilla. Add this mixture to the cooled chocolate mixture. Beat on low until well blended. Stir in pecans. Pour mixture into buttered 9-inch pie pan. Bake 40-50 minutes at 325. Top each slice with whipped cream if desired.
