  • 6 large green peppers/cabbage leaves (par boil both till plyable
  • 1 lb ground turkey or lean ground beef
  • 2 tbsp chopped onion
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup cooked brown rice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup brown sugar

Preparation

Step 1

*Preheat oven to 350 F

*Cut each pepper in half length wise; remove guts and rinse

*Cook peppers 5 minutes in enough boiling water to cover, drain

*mix onion,rice,turkey and egg together

*Stuff each pepper with beef mixture

*Pour remaining sauce over peppers and cover with brown sugar.

*Cover and bake 45 minutes or until peppers/cabbage are soft
