- 2 1/2 cups sugar
- 7 1/2 oz marshmallow cream
- 5 oz evaporated milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 14 oz semisweet chocolate (two 7-oz bars), chopped
- 1 cup pecan pieces
- 1 tsp vanilla

Step 1
line an 8inch square pan with aluminum foil. butter the foil well and set the pan aside
in a heavy saucepan over low heat, combine sugar, marshmallow cream, evaporated milk, butter,, and salt, stirring constantly until butter melts and ingredients are combines.
raise heat to medium. bring mixture to a boil and cook, stirring constantly, until it reaches soft ball stage(234 on a candy thermometer) about 5 minutes. if you do not have a thermometer,, test by dropping a little of the hot mixture into a glass of cold water. it should form a ball and flatten between your fingers when pulled out of the water
remove saucepan from heat. stir in chocolate until melted and smooth. stir in pecans and vanilla.
pour fudge into prepared pan. cool until firm. cut into squares.
