Chocolate Toffee Matzoh 1 Picture

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb matzoh
  • 1 C butter
  • 1 C brown sugar
  • 12 oz chocolate chips
  • 1 C chopped pecans and/or crumbled toffee candy
  • NOTE: Can also use white chocolate chips, pistachios, dried fruit, etc

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 450.

Line 2 jellyroll pans with aluminum foil (Silpat mats work great). Divide
matzoh between the pans, placing it in a single layer with no space between
the pieces.

Melt butter and brown sugar. Boil until mixture coats a spoon (3-5 minutes
or more). Pour mixture over matzoh and bake for 4 minutes, remove from
oven.

Sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Return to oven for 1 minute. Remove from
oven and gently spread melted chocolate to cover as completely as possible.
Sprinkle with chopped nuts or toffee candy as desired.

Cool completely in refrigerator. Break into pieces and store in a covered
tin in refrigerator.
