best ever cake

Ingredients

• 1 cup chopped nuts
• 2 cups flour
• 2 eggs
• dash of salt
• 2 cups sugar
• 2 tsp soda
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 ( 2 #) can crushed pineapple, undrained

• frosting;
• 1 stick margarine
• 1 1/3 cup confectioners sugar
• nuts
• 8 ox cream cheese
• 1 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

put in bowl all ingredients. stir well and pour into greased and floured 13 x 9 inch pan. bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. frost as son as it comes from the oven with frosting below.

frosting; beat all ingredients well except nuts and spread on hot cake. sprinkle with nuts.

let cool and refrigerate at least 2 days after which it may be frozen for a week or two.

***this is a very moist and delicious cake with no shortening in the batter.
