chocolate M&M cookies

Ingredients

• 1 3/4 cups flour
• 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
• 3/4 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 6 oz unsalted butter, at room temperature
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 cup miniature semisweet M&M's

Preparation

Step 1

heat the oven to 325. combine the flour, cocoa, soda and salt. with an electric mixer set at medium speed, beat butter and sugar until creamy. beat in the eggs and vanilla. reduce speed and beat in flour mixture. stir in 1 cup M&M's. drop the dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets about 2 inches apart. press a few extra M&M's onto the top of each cookie.

bake 12-15 minutes.
