Ingredients
- 3 egg yolks
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons oleo
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 (9-inch) baked pastry shell
- Dash nutmeg

Step 1
Directions:
1. In small bowl slightly beat 3 egg yolks; set aside.
2. In saucepan, combine sugar, flour, and salt; gradually stir in milk.
3. Cook and stir over Medium (275 degrees) heat until mixture boils and thickens.
4. Cook 2 minutes longer and remove pan from heat.
5. Stir small amount hot mixture into egg yolks.
6. Return mixture to heat; cook additional 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
7. Remove from heat.
8. Add butter, vanilla and egg mixture; mix and cool to room temperature.
9. Pour into baked pie shell and top with nutmeg.
10. Place Extender Ring on base.
11. Place pie on 2-inch rack and stand 4-inch rack over pie.
12. Place tin foil square in middle of 4-inch rack, bending around so fan will not blow off.
13. Bake on Power Level HI for 18-20 minutes.
14. Remove from Oven and cool for 10 minutes then chill in refrigerator.
