  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp almond flavoring
  • 1 cup bisquick
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup chopped almonds
  • 1/2 tsp ground cardamom or 8 cardamom seeds, freshly ground

Step 1

heat oven to 350. cream butter and sugar. add egg, sour cream and almond flavoring. combine until well mixed. add bisquick and flour. fold in almonds and cardamom.

pour into well-greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3 loaf pan.
