Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies

A light sugared peanut butter cookie with a chocolate kiss in the middle.

Ingredients

• 1/2 c shortening
• 1/2 c peanut butter
• 1/2 c brown sugar
• 3/4 c sugar (1/2c for mix and 1/4 c for rolling cookies in)
• 1 egg
• 2 T milk
• 1 teas vanilla
• 1 3/4 c flour
• 1 teas soda
• 1/2 teas salt
• Chocolate kisses

Preparation

Step 1

Mix shortening, peanut butter, brown sugar, and 1/2 c sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg, milk, and vanilla. Mix well. Add flour, soda, and salt to the creamed mixture. Shape into 1 inch balls and roll in remaining sugar. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 375 for 8 minutes. Push a chocolate kiss in the middle and allow to cool.
