Ingredients
- Marinade:
- 3 tablespoons red wine or 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar, w tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoons minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon freshly ground pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 bay leaf, coarsely broken
- Beef:
- 1-1/2 lbs. beef sirloin steak cut into 1” pieces
- 24 crimini (baby portabellos) mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Butter:
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 tablespoons mashed anchovies or anchovy paste

Preparation
Step 1
In large bowl, stir together all marinade ingredients. Add steak and mushrooms, stir to coat with marinade. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour or overnight.
Meanwhile, in small bowl, stir together butter and anchovies. Heat grill. Thread steak onto 4 (14 inch) metal skewers, thread mushrooms onto 1 (14 inch) metal skewers. Brush skewers with oil. Place on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill 4-6 inches from medium coals, cover grill. Grill 8-10 minutes for medium-rare or until of desired doneness, turning to brown all sides. Serve skewers brushed with anchovy butter.
