Ingredients
- 1 egg white
- pinch of cream of tartar
- 2 cups icing sugar
- drops of peppermint flavoring
- 1 tbsp butter
- food colouring

Step 1
Beat egg whites until foamy, not stiff. Add cream of tartar, icing sugar, peppermint flavoring and butter. Stir until mixture loses its stickiness. Divide mixture into five portions. Add different colouring to each portion, leaving one portion white. Take one tablespoon at a time, roll it like a snake, then cut into small pieces with scissors. Leave on wax paper, uncovered, for one hour.
