  • 1 1/2 cups bran
  • 1 cup buttermilk *
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar(packed)
  • 1 cup white flour
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • or *use a 1/4 cup Bulk Barn Buttermilk powder and 1 cup of water

Step 1

Grease muffin tins.

Mix buttermilk with bran and let stand.
Beat together oil, egg, sugar and vanilla.
Mix together with buttermilk-bran mixture.
Sift dry ingredients together, then quickly stir into other mixture. Add raisins.
Spoon into greased muffin tins using the 50mm cookie scoop.
Makes 12 muffins.
