- 1 1/2 cups bran
- 1 cup buttermilk *
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 large egg
- 2/3 cup brown sugar(packed)
- 1 cup white flour
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- or *use a 1/4 cup Bulk Barn Buttermilk powder and 1 cup of water

Grease muffin tins.

Mix buttermilk with bran and let stand.
Beat together oil, egg, sugar and vanilla.
Mix together with buttermilk-bran mixture.
Sift dry ingredients together, then quickly stir into other mixture. Add raisins.
Spoon into greased muffin tins using the 50mm cookie scoop.
Makes 12 muffins.
