Ingredients
- One Crust
- 1 1/3 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup shortening (or 1/3 cup + 3 tbsp lard)
- 3 tbsp cold water
- Two Crust
- 2 2/3 cups flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup shortening (or 3/4 cup + 2 tbsp lard)
- 7 tbsp cold water

Preparation
Step 1
Measure flour and salt into bowl. Cut in shorening thoroughly. Sprinkle in water, 1 tablespoon at a time, mixing until all flour is moistened and dough almost cleans side of bowl.
Add more water if necessary.
Roll on floured surface.
For Baked Pie Shell: prick bottom and sides thoroughly with fork.
Bake at 475 for 8 to 10 minutes.
