  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup canned evaporated milk
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups icing sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Stir brown sugar and butter in saucepan and bring to a boil. Stir in canned milk slowly. Continue to stir, boil for 4 minutes. Cool. Add salt and vanilla. Add icing sugar to spreading consistency. This icing is very nice with chocolate cake and tastes a lot like fudge.
