Simple French Toast

Ingredients
- 2/3 cup whole milk
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 3 large eggs
- 4 tbsp. butter, divided
- 6 thick slices day-old bread, such as Texas Toast
- Garnish: confectioners sugar

Preparation
Step 1
In a medium bowl, whisk together milk, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, and eggs.
In a large nonstick skillet, melt 2 tbsp. butter over medium-high heat, swirling to coat pan. Dip 3 bread slices in egg mixture; place in pan. Reduce heat to medium; cook until golden brown, approximately 2 minutes per side. Place on a serving plate. Repeat procedure with remaining butter, bread and egg mixture. Garnish with confectioners' sugar, if desired.
