Ingredients

  • Filling:
  • 1- 1 lb. box raisins
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • Batter:
  • 1 cup oleo
  • 2 cups brown sugar or 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 3/4 cup flour

Preparation

Step 1

Combine raisins, sugar & cornstarch. Cover with water & cook until thick. Cool- Add 1 tsp. lemon juice.

Pat 2/3 of batter in large cookie sheet- greased.
Spread with filling
Crumble rest of dough on raisins or roll out and cut in strips and lay across top of raisins.
