Fruit salsa is a nice change from savoury or tomato-based salsas. Serve this with apple and pear slices or with water crackers.

- 1 (13 oz) can crushed pineapple, drained
- 1/2 cup minced red onion
- 1 nectarine, peeled and chopped
- 1 jalapeno pepper, minced
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tbsp minced fresh ginger root
