Ingredients

  • OPTIONAL:
  • 1 pd bulk pork sausage
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 6 slices white bread (crust removed, cut into 6 pieces)
  • 1 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 4 oz mushrooms (sliced & drained)
  • 1 teaspoon salt (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

In a skillet, brown and crumble sausage; drain and set aside.

In a large bowl, beat eggs (until fluffy); add milk, salt and mustard.

Add cheese, sausage, bread, and mushrooms.

Pour into a greased 9x13 baking dish.

Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.

Remove from the refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F for 40-45 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
