Ingredients

    cup breadcrumbs

  • ¼

    cup grated pecorino

  • 2

    tblsp chopped parsley

  • salt and pepper

  • 1

    egg

  • 2

    tblsp water

  • 3

    portobello mushroom caps cut into strips

  • flour

  • vegetable oil

Directions

Mix breadcrumbs, pecorino, and parsley (salt and pepper to taste) in bowl. Beat egg and water in another bowl. Dredge strips in flour, dip in egg, then in crumbs. Fry in oil until golden brown.
