or otherwise, and they freeze well so you can make up a big batch and eat them as you like.

Ingredients

  • Ingredients:
  • 1 tin of chickpeas
  • 1 onion
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 2 torn up slices of bread
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 2 tsp parsley
  • 4 tsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 4 Tbsp flour

Preparation

Step 1

Chop the ingredients finely and blend
well together, adding a tiny splash
of water, until you have a thick
paste that sticks together nicely. If
you don’t have a blender, just chop
everything extra-fine and mash it up
with a fork.
2. Roll into small balls or burger patties.
Whatever floats your boat.
3. Fry in oil for about four minutes,
then turn them over and give them
another four minutes until the
entire outside is golden and crispy.
Alternatively, if you want to skip
out on all that oil, preheat your oven
to 180°C (about 350°F) and bake
for about 20 minutes until golden,
turning once half way through.
