French Onion Soup

Ingredients
- 2 lbs onions (Vadalla's)
- 6 Tbs Butter
- 2 Tbs oil
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp dry mustard
- 3 Tbs flour
- 2 quarts Beef Broth (4 cans)
- 1 1/2 cups White Cooking Wine
- French Bread Slices toasted
- Provolone cheese sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation
Step 1
1. In a large kettle, cook onions with butter.
2. Add oil over low heat for 30 minutes.
3. Stirring occasionally.
4. Add sugar and mustard, cook 30 minutes longer.
5. Blend in flour.
6. Stir in broth and wine and cook 30 minutes more.
7. Season to taste.
8. TO SERVE:
9. Ladle into crocks, top with bread and provolone slices.
10. Bake in 450* oven until cheese is bubbly.
