Hearty Shepherd's Pie

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
• 1/3 cup chopped onion
• 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed tomato soup
• 1 T tomato paste
• 1/2 cup beef broth
• 2 tsp Italian seasoning
• 1 pkg (10 ounces frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
• 1-2 celery stalks
• pepper to taste
• 3 cups hot mashed potatoes
• 1 cups French's French Fried Onions

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cook meat in large skillet until browned; drain. Stir in chopped onion, soup, tomato paste, beef broth, celery, mixed vegetables, seasoning and pepper.

Spoon mixture into 9x9 pan. Top with mashed potatoes.

Bake 20 minutes or until hot. Sprinkle with French Fried Onions and more pepper. Bake 2 minutes or until golden.
