Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg, at room temperature
- 1 large egg yolk, at room temperature
- 1/3 cup unsulfured dark molasses
- 1/3 cup buttermilk
- Nonstick cooking spray

Step 1
1. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cloves. Set aside.
2. IN a medium bowl, using an electric mixer on medium high speed, beat brown sugar and butter for 1 to 2 minutes or until fluffy. Beat in egg and egg yolk. Beat in molasses. Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk, making three additions of flour and two of buttermilk and beating on low speed until smooth.
3. Spray cake pop wells with nonstick baking spray. Fill each well with about 1 tbsp batter. Bake for 4 to 6 minutes or until a tester inserted in the center comes out clean. Transfer cake pops to a wire rack to cool. Repeat with remaining batter.
