Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups shortening
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 4 cups flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 tsp. cloves
- 2 tsp. ginger

Preparation
Step 1
Cream shortening and sugar together. Beat in eggs, add molasses and sifted dry ingredients. Chill. Roll out and cut with cookie cutters.
Bake at 375 deg. for 8 - 10 minutes.
Do not overbake. They will puff up and as soon as they flatten out they should be taken out of the oven. Do not let brown on edges.
