Ingredients
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup light molasses
- 5 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2/3 cup cold water
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Whipped cream

Preparation
Step 1
Combine egg, sugar, molasses, butter and water. Mix well. In a large bowl, stir flour, baking soda, ginger and salt. Add molasses mixture. Beat until well mixed. Pour into greased 8" square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve warm with whipped cream.
