Ingredients
- 2 packages (1/4 ounce each) active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water (110 - 115 degrees)
- 1/3 cup plus 1 teaspoon sugar, divided
- 1 1/4 cup warm milk (110 - 115 degrees)
- 1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 6 - 6 1/2 cups flour

Step 1
In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water with 1 teaspoon sugar. Add milk, butter, remaining sugar, eggs and 3 cups of flour. Beat until smooth. Stir in enough flour to form a soft dough. Turn onto a floured surface. Knead until smooth and elastic, adding flour as needed. Place in greased bowl, turning once to grease top. Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled about 1 hour. Punch down and turn onto floured board. Divide in half. **Divide each half in 12 pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place on grased 13 X 9 pan. Cover and let rise until doubled about 30 minutes. Bake at 375 minutes for 20 - 25 minutes.
**Or divide each half into 36 balls and place 3 balls into each muffin cup.
