Ingredients
- 6 pork chops, cut 1/2 inch thick
- 1 T vegetable oil
- Water
- 1 can (10 1/2 ounces) condensed chicken broth
- 2 T honey
- 1 t garlic salt
- 1 t grated fresh ginger or 1/4 t ground ginger
- 1 cup Uncle Ben's converted brand rice
- 1 package (8 ounces) mixed dried fruit, chopped if desired

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Brown pork chops in oil in 12 inch skillet; remove from heat.
Add enough water to broth to make 2 1/2 cups. Add honey, garlic salt, and ginger, mixing well. Pour liquid into a shallow 3 quart baking dish. Add rice and fruit; stir. Arrange pork chops on top. Cover dish tightly with aluminum foil. Bake 50 minutes. Uncover and continue baking until all liquid is absorbed, 5 to 10 minutes.
