Ingredients

  • 2 frozen bread loaves
  • 1 stick (1/2 cup) margarine
  • 1 large box (4.6 oz) vanilla pudding (NOT instant)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • raisins and/or nuts (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Thaw bread loaves (about 45 mins) then cut loaves into 12 slices each.

Melt together (on low on stove)
1 stick (1/2 cup) margarine
1 large box (4.6 oz) vanilla pudding (NOT instant)
1 cup brown sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp milk
2 tsp vanilla

Pour small amount of mixture into bottom of greased 9x13" dish. Place one sliced loaf in pan, sides should touch, but not touching sides of pan.

Pour 1/2 mixture on top of slices. Place second sliced loaf on top and pour over remaining mixture.

Let rise overnight. Bake 25 minutes (325 degrees glass, 350 degrees metal). Invert immediately onto serving plate.

Add raisins and/or nuts if desired.
