Fresh Apple Cake with Caramel Sauce

I wanted the taste of caramel apples so I added a glaze to a recipe I had used before. It was a brilliant idea and I would never serve it ‘plain’ again.’

Ingredients
- Cake:
- 1/4 cup cinnamon sugar mixture
- 4 apples, chopped small
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- Glaze:
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk

Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Grease a bundt pan and coat with cinnamon-sugar
mixture.
3. Mix apples, eggs and oil with an electric mixer.
4. Add flour, sugar, soda and cinnamon; mix well.
5. Add optional nuts
6. Pour into pan and bake 1 hour or till tests done.
7. Allow cake to rest in pan for at least 10 min; invert
onto a cake plate.
Glaze:
1. Bring butter, brown sugar and milk to a boil in a
medium sauce pan and cook for 2 minutes, stirring
constantly
2. Spoon over cake.
3. Cool before serving
