Ingredients
- 2 c sifted flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2/3 cup butter or margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

Preparation
Step 1
Mix and refrigerate overnight
Bake fresh for breakfast
Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, 1 tsp cinnamon and salt
Cream together butter, sugar, 1/2 cup brown sugar until light and fluffy
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition
Add dry ingredients alternatively with buttermilk, beating well after each addition
Spread batter in greased and floured 13 X 9 X 2" baking pan
Combine 1/2 cup brown sugar, walnuts, 1/2 tsp cinnamon and nutmeg; mix well
Sprinkle over batter
Refrigerate 8 hrs or overnight
Bake @ 350 degrees for 45" or until done
Cut in squares and serve warm
