Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 3/4 up sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1 3/4 cup hottest tap water

Preparation

Step 1

1. Heat oven to 350
2. Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder and salt in
ungreased 9x9 pan.
3. Mix in milk, oil and vanilla with fork until smooth.
4. Stir in nuts.
5. Spread in pan
6. Sprinkle with brown sugar and ¼ cup cocoa.
7. Pour hot water over batter, DO NOT STIR
8. Bake 40 minutes
Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream when cool.
