Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 T. vanilla
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. shortening
1 t. soda
1/2 t. salt
3 eggs
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 t. nutmeg
3 t. baking powder
5 c. sifted flour

Preparation

Step 1

Cream shortening and sugars, add beaten eggs, vanilla. Sift all dry ingredients together. Add alternately wit buttermilk. Drop on greased pan and bake 350 degrees for 10 - 12 minutes.
